What is Dry Needling?

Small acupuncture needles are carefully placed and guided directly into the trigger points or knots which are located in a tight muscle. The needles are left in place for 5-15 minutes and during this period of time the trigger points slowly start to decrease due to the fresh blood flow which is encouraged by the needles in place. This makes the muscle more supple and helps it to relax. Your session will finish off with some light soft tissue massage to further encourage muscle relaxation & reduce tension.
