CLINICAL EXERCISE
Clinical Exercise
Ideal Physiotherapy offer targeted and individualised Clinical Exercise classes (FORMALLY CLINICAL PILATES).
Our exercise classes are Physiotherapist led and are uniquely individualised to your specific needs.
Each person in the class will be completing their OWN program, and will be supervised and guided by a qualified physiotherapist.
Our Clinical Exercise classes utilise specialised Pilates based equipment, and incorporate Pilates specific principles including
Concentration, Control, Centre, Flow, Precision and Breathing, based on up to date research to help clients get back to optimal health after an injury. Classes address core stability & strength which refer to the deep postural muscles of your spine/pelvis & pelvic floor. These muscles are important in controlling and supporting your body during everyday activities.
How Do I Begin a Class?
In order to begin Clinical Exercise with us a Clinical Assessment and A Pre-Class Review is required.
Our Clinical Assessment entails a 1:1 consultation with one of our Physiotherapists, who will gather a detailed medical/injury history and
discuss your personal goals, complete a postural assessment and teach you the basic principles of Pilates. You will also be commenced
on a home exercise program to augment your program in the studio.
In our Pre-Class Review you will spend 1:1 time with your Physiotherapist who will introduce you to the Pilates equipment, and go through
a specific set of exercises which will be included in your individualised program.
Following this, you have the option of choosing from a range of packages that we have to offer and choose from a number of classes to attend.
