Safe exercise when pregnant is something many mums-to-be worry about, and not without reason. 


We get it, you want to make sure everything is just right for your new bub, and you sure shouldn't hurt yourself in the process! However, this shouldn't be getting in the way of you exercising.


Good News! We have just the exercise you need: Yoga






Prenatal yoga is great for both you and your new baby. 


This is a wonderful time for you, but it does not come without stress. The bonus of yoga is that you can:

  • Improve your sleep

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Increase the strength and flexibility of your muscles (great news leading up to giving birth!)

  • Decrease the aches and pains in your lower back and joints


A typical yoga class involves a focus on breathing, gentle stretching and posture. Not only is this a wonderful way to reduce anxiety and keep exercising, these key aspects can greatly improve your experience over the nine months. 


By focusing on breathing, you can help overcome the shortness of breath you may be experiencing. Gentle stretching helps with encouraging full motion of your body, and gives you a great starting point post-pregnancy. Likewise, focusing on posture early is a great head start for regaining flexibility and balence once your baby is born. 



Better yet, prenatal yoga classes can be a great way to connect with other pregnant mums and reduce some of your anxiety around the birth of your baby!
