Ideal Physiotherapy offers a range of Group Fitness classes to keep you active.

Our group fitness classes have up to 11 participants and have different levels available. All classes are run by our Physiotherapists except Yoga.

Prior to beginning your fitness journey with us, a Group Fitness Assessment is required, which will be conducted by a qualified Physiotherapist. We want to get to know you and work with you on your health goals. Unlike gym classes, we aim to target our group classes for each participants needs with a range of classes on offer. The assessment also gives us the chance to show you our reformer machines which you will use in your classes.

Our group fitness packages give you access to Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga & online classes.

BEGINNERS:

Reformer Pilates

Beginners Reformer are entry-level classes designed for those new to our studio or those that haven’t exercised in a while.

Your class will be guided by physiotherapists that have the professional background necessary to maximise outcomes, keep exercise safe and vary your class.

Intermediate classes are run by qualified physiotherapists so you exercises are still set at a safe pace.

Cardio

Reformer Pilates

It's time to amp up your reformer pilates workout with the addition of the jump board which adds a cardio element to this fast-paced class. Increase your heart rate and work your lower body & core a little harder.

Target both muscular strength and endurance while also testing your willpower and resilience.

This class is designed to push you to a new level of fitness.

Mat Pilates

Grab your mat for a full body work out with strong emphasis on core (abdominal) and pelvic stability - also know as the powerhouse muscles!

Mat pilates exercises are performed with controlled, precise manner and require an intense concentration to target smaller muscles groups.

The main fitness goals of a mat pilates program include improved flexibility, muscle tone, body balance, spinal support, low back health, sports performance, and body-mind awareness.

YIN YOGA

Chiara will help you wind down after a long day with this soothing Yin yoga class.
When you’re stressed to the max, it’s time to drop down to your mat and engage in some seriously calming yin poses.

Yin is a type of yoga where poses are held for 1-5 minutes to targets the deep muscle tissues of the body called fascia where trigger points (or knots) can form when you’re stressed, causing unwanted tension, pain & bad posture.

Your class will finish with a mediation component to help relax your body from head to toe. Due to Covid 19 our Yoga class running online on Tuesday 6.20pm.
